  3. Sometimes with Vocab 1.0 you can make a mistake which is just plain
  4. frustrating. For example you answer 'buy' but Vocab says "Incorrect! Correct
  5. answer was 'to buy'". With automatic correction like AutoFix, this is no longer
  6. a problem.

  8. AutoFix helps you avoid mishaps like these where a pedantic computer scores
  9. you incorrectly for something you had correct.

  35. To enable AutoFix, choose Preferences from the Edit menu and then click on
  36. the 'AutoFix' tab.

  38. By default only correction for "Capitalisation errors" is selected. None the less,
  39. most users will find all of these options invaluable and we strongly recommend
  40. you make use of them.

  45. With this option checked, answers where the correct answer and the answer
  46. given differ only by capitalisation (ie 'Please' vs. 'please') will be allowed.

  49. Missing out information in brackets

  51. This option allows you to provide extra information for questions, but not
  52. require it as part of the answer. For example 'myself (colloquial)'. The
  53. information in brackets is still optional.

  56. Missing/added the following prefixes/suffixes/words

  58. With these options certain prefixes, suffixes, or words before or after the
  59. answer can be made optional.

  61. The default words are 'to', 'be', 'a' and 'an'. Under these options, an answer of
  62. 'play' where the correct answer was 'to play' would be allowed.

  64. The 'add prefix' and 'add word' buttons become enabled when you type
  65. something into the text fields. To add an entry, just type it in and click an
  66. appropriate button.

  68. To remove an entry, select it and hit the delete key.
