- Automatic Correction
-
- Sometimes with Vocab 1.0 you can make a mistake which is just plain
- frustrating. For example you answer 'buy' but Vocab says "Incorrect! Correct
- answer was 'to buy'". With automatic correction like AutoFix, this is no longer
- a problem.
-
- AutoFix helps you avoid mishaps like these where a pedantic computer scores
- you incorrectly for something you had correct.

-
- To enable AutoFix, choose Preferences from the Edit menu and then click on
- the 'AutoFix' tab.
-
- By default only correction for "Capitalisation errors" is selected. None the less,
- most users will find all of these options invaluable and we strongly recommend
- you make use of them.
-
-
- Capitalisation errors
-
- With this option checked, answers where the correct answer and the answer
- given differ only by capitalisation (ie 'Please' vs. 'please') will be allowed.
-
-
- Missing out information in brackets
-
- This option allows you to provide extra information for questions, but not
- require it as part of the answer. For example 'myself (colloquial)'. The
- information in brackets is still optional.
-
-
- Missing/added the following prefixes/suffixes/words
-
- With these options certain prefixes, suffixes, or words before or after the
- answer can be made optional.
-
- The default words are 'to', 'be', 'a' and 'an'. Under these options, an answer of
- 'play' where the correct answer was 'to play' would be allowed.
-
- The 'add prefix' and 'add word' buttons become enabled when you type
- something into the text fields. To add an entry, just type it in and click an
- appropriate button.
-
- To remove an entry, select it and hit the delete key.
